BREAK Thursday: Lyndon Dykes, Tiago Araujo, and Cameron Carter-Vickers are the Celtics transfer news.

We’ll be providing you with updates on six players on Thursday night as we bring you the most recent Celtic transfer news from 67 Hail Hail.

After more than half of the January 2024 transfer window has passed, Celtic has at least signed someone.

Rapid Vienna paid £3 million for Nicolas Kuhn’s arrival on Tuesday, and the winger participated in his first practice with the Bhoys at Lennoxtown today.

There is much more to report, and although we would want the discussion that follows to focus largely on prospective arrivals, today’s broadcast is regrettably predominately about potential departures.

According to the Daily Record, David Moyes’s West Ham United, struggling Brentford, and FFP-hit Nottingham Forest are all interested in signing Cameron Carter-Vickers.

Furthermore, the story makes the unwelcome suggestion that the Parkhead administration is “bracing themselves for offers arriving.” Celtics supporters would prefer not to read this.

Key players like Kyogo Furuhashi, Reo Hatate, and Matt O’Riley must sign new contracts and stay with the team, but the truth is that the club finds it difficult to say no when money is offered.

Tiago Araujo of Estoril is one left-sided full-back who has been under Celtic’s transfer notice since November.

According to the Daily Record, Araujo is valued at £4 million by the Portuguese team; however, the Hoops are unlikely to spend that amount.

The decision-makers at Parkhead ‘don’t value him in the same ballpark’ as Estoril, it was implied. If so, it implies the team wants to pay a much lower price for the 22-year-old rather than merely a lower price.

With less than two weeks until the transfer window closes, Lecce and Genoa appear to have a new rival in the race to recruit Gustaf Lagerbielke, according to the Daily Record.

The Italian team in question, Hellas Verona, is rumored to be contemplating a move for Lagerbielke.

According to the report, the Hornets would be happy to loan Lagerbielke out in the near future in order to free up salary in Brendan Rodgers’ overpaid team.

Yuki Kobayashi, the defender for Celtics, has other plans for the foreseeable future.

In early January, Daily Mail reporter Stephen McGowan reported that Kobayashi was scheduled to rejoin former Celtics coach Harry Kewell at Yokohama F. Marinos.

But now that the Daily Record has revealed that Kobayashi will be spending this month in Glasgow, the story about his future has taken a sharp turn.

In the midst of rumors surrounding Lawrence Shankland, it has been proposed that Celtic should instead pursue Lyndon Dykes, his Scotland teammate.

Being a “more physical option,” Kenny Miller said he could see why such a move would make sense. However, he also told Clyde 1 Superscoreboard that the QPR striker would “definitely be interested” in moving to Celtic.

Celtic has announced that Mackenzie Carse, a young player, has signed a one-year loan deal to play for Queen’s Park in the Scottish Championship.

Although the 19-year-old has not yet made his Hoops first-team debut, the Parkhead club has great expectations for him in the future.

And that is a result of his outstanding play this season with Celtic B in the Lowland League. In 19 league games, Carse scored seven goals. With the Spiders, he hopes to continue that success.
