Andy Halliday identifies three Celtic players who have deteriorated under Brendan Rodgers, calling them “gone backwards.”

Watching Celtic this season has been a bit of a hard slog. Especially over the last few weeks. The days of Ange Postecoglou’s daring football exploits are long gone. The Celtic supporters haven’t witnessed this slow, snail-paced football since Rodgers’ last season with the team, and it has now taken its place.

Additionally absent are the individual players who may instantly light up a game. Luis Palma has taken Jota’s place.

Although Palma is making progress, he lacks the Portuguese ace’s lightning-fast pace and dribbling ability. Odin Thiago Holm has been named as Aaron Mooy’s replacement.

Even while I understand that Mooy wasn’t a dribbler, he had the ability to identify magical moments that might breach even the strongest defenses.

However, the majority of the team that won the triple crown is still in place, and according to Andy Halliday, three players are doing worse now than they were under Ange Postecoglou.

Halliday remarked to Clyde SSB, “Kyogo has been a shadow of the player we saw last year, in my opinion, as things stand right now. Thirty-five goals?

“As December approaches, he has already scored one more goal than Dessers, who has faced nothing but criticism for several months.

And then it occurs to me that I could go through a list.In my opinion, Alistair Johnston has regressed. Greg Taylor is the same, in my opinion.

“I believe that Brendan Rodgers is not getting the best performance out of a select group of players at this time.”

Halliday is right, as much as I hate to say that. Under Rodgers, these three have gotten worse, and it’s unclear how they’ll recover.

This trio of players, who are usually dependable, appear to be experiencing a lack of confidence due to attempting to play a system that is entirely unfamiliar to them.

In order to remedy that, Rodgers needs to act swiftly because the Celtics coach will need them to perform well in the next two games if he hopes to win all six points.
