An Aberdeen legend admits on target for Celtic without surprise

Joe Harper, a former player for Aberdeen, stated that he would not be surprised if Celtic showed a strong interest in January in striker Bojan Miovski.

During an otherwise poor season thus far, the 24-year-old, who has been at Pittodrie for 18 months, has given the club hope.

In his 27 games for the Dons, he has already contributed 17 goals, and Barry Robson’s team has benefited from his menacing presence in front of goal in Europe.

Celtic has reportedly been following the hitman’s performances and are eager to have him play at Parkhead.

And after watching the 24-year-old, Harper is impressed and thinks it won’t be shocking if teams swarm to sign Miovski during the January transfer window.

In his Press & Journal column, Harper stated, “I would not be surprised if clubs made a move to sign Miovski in the January transfer window.”

Because of how valuable he is, Aberdeen will have to offer a very high price to any team that wants to sign him.

Since joining Aberdeen in the summer of 2022, Miovski has been a prolific scorer for the past two seasons.

This season, the North Macedonian international demonstrated that his ability to score goals is not limited to Scotland alone.

In Europe, he also scored four goals.

“The Aberdeen fans will be unhappy if Miovski leaves on a cheap deal.

“I hope that Miovski remains at Pittodrie beyond the winter window, as his goals are crucial to both the Scottish Cup campaign and the attempt to secure the third place finish.”

Whether Celtic makes a move for Miovski in the upcoming days is still to be seen.

After defeating Hearts and Livingston back-to-back, Aberdeen stopped their downward trend and are now seventh, eight points outside of a European spot.
