Rangers told to aim for TREBLE as Celtic warned they’ll be pushed all the way

In the Premiership, Rangers will challenge Celtic relentlessly and have a chance to capture a treble this year.

Kirk Broadfoot, a former defender for them, says Philippe Clement’s management has so far impressed him. The Ibrox team was undefeated under the Belgian coach until they lost the Glasgow derby. Despite this, they are still very much in the driver’s seat of their opponents, with two games remaining that might help them close an eight-point lead.

By the end of the transfer window, Broadfoot anticipates his old team to be more formidable, which will enable them to capitalize on the progress Clement has already made. Having already won the League Cup, he believes that will serve as the impetus for a significant title campaign, but he would also like to see them pursue all three domestic trophies.

The defender for Greenock Morton stated: “I don’t see why not. They are clearly still in the Scottish Cup, they have one up on them, and the league is unquestionably theirs.

The Rangers as a team ought to aim for the triple crown. I believe the new manager has arrived and is off to a strong start in his role at the team.

“I believe they’ll most likely get stronger once again this month. This year’s league competition should be close, in my opinion. Because they are evenly balanced, I don’t see either team winning.

“The manager is the best person for the job right now. I envision Rangers battling to the very end. His impact is clearly evident, as he has won his first 16 games. That says it all.

It’s important to keep in mind that he still needs to add his own players. The fact that he already has a trophy in the cabinet is a great place to start. That’s significant for any squad when a new manager joins the team.

Winning any trophy is nice, but at that point in the season, the League Cup provides you with a sense of victory. It might inspire the team to keep going and aim to win additional games. But the main one is the league. They will definitely challenge Celtic this year, in my opinion.

“It will be close, but I believe Rangers have the team that can win it and a manager who can push Celtic all the way.”

Broadfoot has added his voice to the accolades that Clement has received for the manner in which he has conducted business.

“I believe there’s an aura surrounding him,” he continued. It’s evident that the team values him. You see the game in which, after about thirty minutes, he removed Todd Cantwell from the game.
