As the January transfer window enters its ninth day, Celtic has not made any acquisitions or departures.
However, certain rumors about players potentially leaving Celtic are beginning to surface.
On Twitter, Fabrizio Romano asserted that Bologna, a Serie A team, expressed interest in signing Celtic’s highly regarded player, Rocca Vata.
The Italian journalist went on to say that since interest in the 18-year-old is “growing,” “talks are expected soon.”
Rocco Vata can, if he so chooses, sign a pre-contract deal with a foreign club today and then join them in the summer because his Parkhead contract ends in the summer.
The Irishman has played for the team four times, but under Brendan Rodgers he has not made an appearance. In January, 67 Hail Hail predicted that the player would go.
It is therefore not surprising that his name is currently generating so much buzz, especially considering that summer signing Gustav Lagerbielke may be considering a contract with a Serie A team.
Celtic’s current January transfer window
Though it’s still early, there has been some stillness. It appears like the players took a short vacation before getting back into the game and preparing for the second half of the season.
It wouldn’t surprise me if, by the beginning of next week, things pick up steam and decisions are taken.
It might be a matter of getting guys out before any new players can arrive at Celtic, keeping a close eye on the areas of the field where Brendan Rodgers makes improvements.
Will Lagerbielke bring in a new center-back if he does decide to leave? His two best players are Liam Scales and Cameron Carter-Vickers, however Maik Nawrocki has been playing well lately.
However, Rodgers hasn’t really utilized him, so it’s obvious that he doesn’t like something about him.
