£49.3m CELTIC INS AND OUTS: THE STORY SO FAR

The summer transfer window saw CELTIC spend a total of £49.3 million on transfers, and as Brendan Rodgers looks to bolster his first team roster, the yearly January Guessing Game will begin once again.

The largest transaction made during the window was the £25 million move of fan favorite Filipe Jota to Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad, while Swedish center-back Carl Starfelt moved to La Liga club Celta Vigo for a reported £5 million.

Australia World Cup midfielder Aaron Mooy announced his retirement shortly after the end of the historic eighth domestic treble. The Hoops also received modest fees of roughly £150,000 for Northern Ireland international goalkeeper Conor Hazard from Plymouth Argyle, and Ivory Coast midfielder Ismaila Soro to Beitar Jeru.

HI THERE, PARADISE…After moving from Legia Warsaw for £4.3 million, Maik Nawrocki comes.

Albian Ajeti, who cost £5 million when he was acquired from West Ham in the summer of 2020, had his contract terminated in September after agreeing to a one-year contract with Turkish premier league team Gaziantep.

Maik Nawrocki, a center-back from Legia Warsaw, cost the most money at £4.3 million, while Kwon Hyeon-kyu, a midfielder, came from Busan I-Park in South Korea for a somewhat smaller £850,000.

You can increase the amount by £1 million, as that was the price agreed upon for Japanese midfield player Tomoki Iwata’s original loan move from Yokohama F Marinos to become a permanent fixture.

Paulo Bernardo, a midfielder for Benfica who was signed on deadline day, and Nat Phillips, a defender for Liverpool, both came on loan. Similar to Jota, his former Lisbon teammate, the Portuguese playmaker inked a season-long contract with an option to buy in August 2021.

After making just a few appearances in the first squad, the English pivot signed a short-term contract and looks to be returning to Anfield.

Sead Haksabanovic, a winger for the Montenegro national team, was one of seven players who agreed to go on loan to Stoke City in the Championship for a temporary season.
