Carlos Alcaraz had been set to participate at next month’s Australian Open but has been hospitalised after suffering a heart attack while in quarantine.

It is understood that Alcaraz is doing well and could be released from hospital this weekend,

but whether or not he can still officiate in the tournament is unknown.

Spanish website TenisNews reported he was doing well and was expected to be released from hospital on Saturday,
and was conscious in photos seen on social media of him being wheeled into an ambulance.
