Shocking News: Police Arrest Former AFL Star Who Beat Up Teenagers in Train Fight Scene.

On Friday morning, former football star Matthew Collins, aged 47, was arrested following a confrontation with a group of teenagers on a train journey home from the MCG. Collins, who previously played for Adelaide and Melbourne, had attended a match where he witnessed Melbourne’s defeat to the Brisbane Lions before the altercation took place.

According to reports, video footage captured Collins engaging in conversation with the group of teenagers before the situation escalated, resulting in him striking one of them to the ground. The incident unfolded around 12:30 am on Friday, prompting a fellow passenger to activate the emergency distress button. Subsequently, Collins was apprehended by authorities at Thornbury Station.

Although initially detained, Collins was later released without charge while investigations into the incident are ongoing. It’s reported that a 15-year-old boy from Croydon sustained minor injuries during the altercation.

When approached for comment by Channel Seven, Collins hinted that there might be more to the story but did not provide further details. Currently coaching at a local football club, it’s unclear whether any disciplinary action will be taken against him, as the club has not confirmed any decisions regarding the matter.
