“I’ve got him tucked under my wing”: The Broncos are up against competition to hold onto a young, talented player

It appears that the Brisbane Broncos are facing competition from several Queensland clubs, including the Gold Coast Titans, to retain young hooker Blake Mozer. Mozer’s contract ends at the end of the 2025 season, allowing him to negotiate with other clubs starting November 1 of the current year. The Titans, along with the Cowboys and Dolphins, are interested in acquiring Mozer’s services, with the Titans having a potential advantage due to Mozer’s roommate being their new recruit, Keenan Palasia, an ex-Broncos forward.

Palasia has mentioned that he is mentoring Mozer and will guide him as he develops as a player. Mozer, who has been part of the Broncos’ system since he was 13 and is a lifelong fan of the club, understands that he may have to wait for his opportunities there. In the meantime, he has been playing for the Souths Logan Magpies in the QLD Cup and Mal Meninga Cup.

Overall, Mozer’s potential move to the Gold Coast Titans is a possibility due to Palasia’s influence and the opportunities available at the Titans, despite the Broncos’ efforts to retain him.
