The Brisbane Lions have confirmed that ruckman Oscar McInerney will play against the Gold Coast SUNS on Sunday night.
McInerney was sidelined last week after undergoing concussion protocol following the Lions’ Round 6 loss to Geelong.
While Brisbane hopes to acquire McInerney, they will be lacking usefulness. Callum Ah Chee’s scans revealed a minor hamstring strain, which should only cause him to miss one match.
Defender James Madden will undergo a fitness test this week after experiencing hamstring discomfort during Saturday’s VFL win against Southport, but the club is optimistic he will play.
Fellow defender Zane Zakostelsky is also ready for selection and will make his VFL debut on Sunday against the SUNS.
