Brentford has made a €30 million offer for a Brazilian player, and the bid is currently under review by the club president.

Brentford’s attempt to sign Luis Guilherme from Palmeiras is becoming a significant story in Brazil. Earlier reports from Nosso Palestra indicated that the Bees had shown interest in the young talent and initiated contact for his signing.

Journalist Jorge Nicola has now provided an update, revealing that Brentford has made a formal bid for Guilherme. The offer is reportedly €30 million, with an additional condition allowing Palmeiras to retain 20% of any future sale.

Palmeiras’ club president, Leila Pereira, is currently reviewing the offer and has yet to make a decision. This comes at a time when Palmeiras is experiencing a wave of young talent being sold for substantial sums. The club is set to lose Endrick to Real Madrid and Estêvão to Chelsea, both for over €60 million. This situation might pressure Palmeiras to keep some of their emerging stars or potentially increase their asking price for Guilherme.

For Brentford, a positive aspect is that since Luis Guilherme is already 18, he can join them this summer. In contrast, Real Madrid must wait for Endrick to turn 18 in July, and Chelsea will only be able to sign Estêvão in 2025.
