The MLB Dominican Republic Series was about to begin, and the Boston Red Sox and Tampa Bay Rays were the teams chosen to kick things off.
David Ortiz and Pedro Martinez, two Red Sox greats and World Series winners, each threw out a ceremonial first pitch on Saturday night.

Before heading back to spring training, Boston and Tampa Bay will play two games on Saturday and Sunday in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
