Blackburn Rovers, who have only won one of their last 11 Championship games, are clearly in a dire condition, according to Jon Dahl Tomaason.
Following their victory over Queens Park Rangers at Ewood Park, the Rovers are now just five points above the bottom three. Fans are concerned about a relegation struggle despite the team earning five points out of a potential thirty-three.
Rovers’ first two months of the season have been terrible both on and off the field, as they enter December around the play-offs.
Tomasson acknowledged that there are warning signs, but their league standing should not be shocking given the summer budget cuts.

“It’s a very serious situation but nothing has changed,” he stated. “It was really bad in the summer, when a hand grenade altered everything and reduced the budget.
“Steve Waggott talked about remaining in the league and developing guys because it’s a challenging time. I have a tad bit more ambition.
“It’s not about me, it’s about the team, they’re sticking together but it’s not great when you aren’t winning.”
“I told the club in the summer, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise. The alarms are set to go off,” he said.
“The fans are the reason we play football, and they ought to be included in the narrative. They could stay for ten or twenty years.
It’s crucial to always be completely honest with them. They care about keeping you alive on a daily basis.
“Up until December, we were doing okay with the form overall. While December wasn’t the best month, January is now finished. Based on the findings, February might be a good month. Not as nice as December, but not as bad as November either. I hope February turns out to be like November.”
The loss against QPR followed two goals that were easily prevented in the second half. The first was regrettable; Ilias Chair’s shot struck Aynlsey Pears after bouncing off the post and in.
In the second, Joe Hodge was allowed to choose his place in the box after sprinting from deep. It followed a brief handoff in possession and brings Rovers’ goal total down to 55.
Tomasson commended the fans for remaining in the stands, saying the squad had enough opportunities to win the game.
“We are upset about the game’s outcome. I thought we got off to a great start, and Ben (Christene) had a great opportunity to score at that point,” he remarked.
“We didn’t play as well as we did on Monday, in my opinion. We ended up with a solid goal, but we also had a lot of scoring opportunities.
“Where we ought to have performed better, we gave up two needless goals. We are aware that they pose a risk during transitions as we have lost balls there that shouldn’t be lost.
“Great character was displayed by the boys and the fans. We had two or three solid chances, great opportunities to get the second, and we were very close to winning the draw. Bravo to the players and supporters for sticking by the team.
“We are aware that giving up aspirations is unpleasant. Conceding usually means you’ve made a mistake and your opponent has done a good job. Today’s goals: what transpired?
“It was unfortunate that we had so many players in the box for the first goal. Chair is an excellent player, and we ought to have gotten in closer with him. We were unlucky that the post he struck struck the pears and entered.
“In the second goal, we had possession of the ball when we lost it, and he was immediately free. Nevertheless, you have to examine what went wrong when you give up or concede opportunities.
“You also need to consider the instances in which you outperformed your rival, which I believe we did. We could have scored early on and should have scored more, in my opinion.
It’s wonderful to watch the squad play and strive to win back, as well as the support of the supporters.” It’s lovely to see the spirit.
“We’re not happy to lose, like our fans are, players are and everyone is.”
