
Tegna is giving some local TV viewers an opportunity to see more women’s pro basketball over the airh The station group made a deal with the WNBA’s Indiana Fever for an expanded broadcast partnership. Stations in 11 additional Midwest markets will join WTHR in Indianapolis to air 18 Indiana Fever games for free, over-the-air to 4.6 million households across the region.
Tegna said it worked to add coverage with WOI in Des Moines and WQAD in Davenport (Quad Cities) to bring Indiana Fever games to Fever star Caitlin Clark’s home state. Games will also air on WHAS in Louisville, as well as stations owned by Gray Media, Sinclair, Allen Media Group, Coastal Television Broadcasting Group, and Block Communications, Inc.
