Soundgarden and Chris Cornell’s Family Announce Tribute Tour with Hologram Performances
In a groundbreaking move that bridges past and present, the surviving members of Soundgarden have announced a global tribute tour featuring a state-of-the-art hologram of Chris Cornell, bringing his powerful voice and presence back to the stage for the first time since 2017.
The tour, titled “Louder Than Love: A Tribute to Chris Cornell,” will blend live performances by Kim Thayil, Ben Shepherd, and Matt Cameron with immersive visuals and never-before-seen footage. A holographic Chris will appear on select songs, using restored audio and video from his most iconic performances to create a deeply emotional and lifelike experience.
“We wanted to honor Chris in the most respectful, heartfelt way possible,” said Thayil. “This isn’t about replacing him—it’s about celebrating him with those who loved him most: the fans.”
The idea was developed in close collaboration with Cornell’s family, who gave their blessing and helped shape the vision. Vicky Cornell, his widow, stated, “Chris always said music should live beyond the artist. This tour is our way of keeping his spirit alive.”
The setlist will include Soundgarden classics like “Black Hole Sun,” “Fell on Black Days,” and “Rusty Cage,” along with a few surprises—including songs from Audioslave and Temple of the Dog. Special guest artists and vocalists will join on various tour stops to pay tribute.
The tour kicks off in Seattle later this year, the city where Soundgarden’s journey began. Fans can expect an emotional, electrifying experience that not only honors Chris Cornell’s unmatched talent but also unites a global community still moved by his voice.
Presale tickets go live next week, and demand is expected to be enormous.
