Samhain Officially Announces 2025 Reunion Tour and New Album Plans
In a move that has sent shockwaves through the horror punk and gothic rock communities, Samhain has officially announced their long-awaited reunion for a limited 2025 tour — and even more exciting, the band has confirmed they are working on new music for the first time in over three decades.
Glenn Danzig, the iconic founder and frontman, made the announcement during a surprise appearance at a Los Angeles record store event. “It’s been too long,” Danzig said. “The time feels right. We’re putting the old blood back together — and summoning some new darkness.”
The reunion lineup will feature original members Glenn Danzig on bass and London May on drums, along with a new guitarist, whose identity is still under wraps. According to Danzig, the upcoming tour will focus on material from their legendary albums Initium and November-Coming-Fire, but with “a few surprises” thrown in for longtime fans.
Even bigger news: Samhain is currently recording a new album scheduled for release in late 2025. Danzig hinted that the sound will “stay true to the gloom and doom” of their earlier work but with “even heavier riffs and darker atmospheres.”
Pre-sale tickets for the reunion tour, titled Black Dream Awakened, are set to go live next month, with shows planned across major U.S. cities and select European dates. Fans worldwide are already bracing for what promises to be a historic resurrection of one of punk and goth’s most beloved underground bands.
Stay tuned — the season of Samhain has finally returned.
