Phil Collins Fully Recovers; Genesis Announces New Album “Full Recovery”
In a stunning announcement, Phil Collins, the iconic drummer and lead vocalist of Genesis, has fully recovered from the health issues that sidelined him for several years. Collins, who has struggled with nerve damage and mobility issues affecting his ability to perform, revealed that after intensive treatment and therapy, he is now in excellent health and ready to return to the stage.
Collins, 74, had been dealing with a series of health challenges, including severe back problems and nerve damage that impaired his drumming and vocal abilities. These issues led to his retirement from active touring and performing, as he often relied on a chair to perform during Genesis’ last tour. However, after months of rigorous rehabilitation, Collins has regained full mobility, and doctors have confirmed his complete recovery.
Genesis, thrilled by Collins’ resurgence, has announced their first new album in years, titled Full Recovery. The album, which is set for release later this year, will feature a mix of classic Genesis sound with fresh, contemporary elements. It marks a return to their progressive rock roots, while incorporating new musical influences.
“This album is a reflection of my personal journey, as well as the band’s evolution,” Collins said. “It feels incredible to be back, and I can’t wait to share the new music with our fans.”
Full Recovery will also include reworked versions of some of Genesis’s greatest hits, with new arrangements that showcase Collins’ revitalized energy. The band is planning a world tour to support the album, with dates expected to be announced soon. Fans are eager to see Collins behind the drums once again, celebrating both his recovery and the enduring legacy of
Genesis.
