The legendary punk rock band The Clash has officially announced a reunion tour—more than three decades after disbanding—and they’re bringing fresh energy with a bold new lineup.
The announcement was made early this morning via the band’s official social media pages and website, sending shockwaves across fan communities and music platforms. Titled “Clash Reborn: The Legacy Tour 2025,” the tour promises to pay homage to the band’s anarchic roots while introducing a new generation of punk warriors who have been handpicked to carry The Clash’s flame forward.
The surviving original members, Mick Jones (guitar, vocals) and Paul Simonon (bass), revealed that they had spent the last year quietly working behind the scenes to craft a reimagined version of The Clash—one that respects the band’s revolutionary past while embracing the evolving spirit of punk music.
“We never wanted to do a reunion just for nostalgia,” said Mick Jones during a press conference in London. “If we were going to bring The Clash back, it had to mean something. It had to feel alive, raw, and relevant.”
The new lineup features young, genre-defying talent including Ava Riot on vocals—a ferocious punk powerhouse from Manchester with a politically charged lyrical style—and Kiko Reyes, a blistering guitarist from Mexico City known for fusing punk with Latin rhythms. Drums will be handled by Zig Sinclair, a former street performer from Brooklyn who grew up idolizing Topper Headon.
The tour will span over 30 cities worldwide, kicking off in London on March 15, 2025, and heading through major cities like New York, Berlin, Tokyo, São Paulo, and Sydney. The band will perform iconic tracks such as “London Calling,” “Should I Stay or Should I Go,” and “Rock the Casbah,” while also debuting new material written by the current lineup.
Unsurprisingly, longtime fans have expressed a mix of shock, nostalgia, and curiosity.
“I never thought I’d see The Clash live in any form again,” tweeted one fan. “Joe Strummer can never be replaced, but I’m willing to hear what this new crew brings.”
A tribute segment to Joe Strummer, the band’s late frontman, will be featured in every show—a moving homage to the voice that defined a generation of punk rebellion.
Pre-sale tickets go live this Friday, with general release scheduled for Monday. If the demand is anything like the buzz online, this may become one of the most historic comebacks in rock history.
