Bad Religion Postpones New Album and Tour Amid Family Emergency
Los Angeles punk rock legends Bad Religion have announced the postponement of their upcoming album and tour due to an unforeseen family emergency. The band shared the news on August 27, 2024, via their official social media channels, expressing deep regret over the decision.
The fall 2024 North American tour, which was set to commence on September 17 in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, and conclude on October 19 in Sacramento, California, has been entirely canceled. The tour included several sold-out shows across major cities, including Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, and Seattle. In their statement, the band apologized for any disappointment and disruption caused, directing ticket holders to seek refunds at their point of purchase. They also extended a sincere apology to the opening band, Niis, acknowledging their support and encouraging fans to check them out.
While the band has not disclosed specific details regarding the family emergency, they emphasized the necessity of prioritizing personal matters during this time. This unexpected development has also impacted the release schedule of their anticipated new album, which was originally slated for late 2025. The band had previously expressed hopes to begin recording new material, following up on their 2019 album “Age of Unreason.”
Fans are encouraged to stay connected through Bad Religion’s official website and social media platforms for updates on rescheduled tour dates and album release information. The band expressed gratitude for the understanding and support from their fanbase during this challenging period.
