Rhodes is renowned as one of the most prolific scorers in EFL history, particularly in League One, where he excelled for Blackpool this season. Despite Blackpool narrowly missing the play-offs, Rhodes’ goals were crucial in keeping the club competitive. Given his consistent performance in the third tier, he remains one of the foremost EFL forwards of the past two decades.
Following Blackpool’s relegation to League One last season, the club hoped for an immediate return to the Championship.
