Man United and Sunderland player gets new job following departure from Birmingham City

A significant position in football management has been offered to a former Birmingham City coach.
The Republic of Ireland has named John O’Shea as its temporary manager, one month after he left Birmingham City.
O’Shea was appointed first-team coach at St Andrew’s for three months, succeeding the relieved Wayne Rooney. When Tony Mowbray was appointed, the 42-year-old was given the chance to stay at Birmingham, but he chose to depart. But Ashley Cole remains put and is helping Mark Venus while Mowbray takes a leave of absence.

After deciding not to extend Stephen Kenny’s contract, Ireland is currently without a permanent manager and has turned to O’Shea for their forthcoming games. In late March, the ROI will play friendlies against Belgium and Switzerland, with O’Shea getting a chance to try out for the position.

“I’m delighted to return to the senior men’s coaching staff as interim head coach for the two international friendlies against Belgium and Switzerland,” the legendary Man United player stated.

“Leading the team into the March international window will be an amazing honor.

I have always taken great delight in serving my nation, as everyone is aware, whether it was as a player or more recently as a member of the coaching staff for the men’s senior squad and the Under-21s.
