‘Likely to move on’ – Former Millwall loan star linked with a return to The Den

Ryan Longman hit a purple patch of form in the closing months of last season

RYAN Longman has been tipped with a return to The Den – but any potential move comes with a big caveat.

The midfielder made 36 appearances in all competitions while on loan at the Lions last season, turning in some outstanding performances.

He scored a spectacular long-range goal against eventual league winners Leicester City in April, and that was perhaps his best moment throughout an inconsistent Millwall season.

Longman is currently predicted by Hull Live to depart permanently, but a quick transition may have been hampered by the Tigers’ managerial position.

According to the article, Tim Walter, the new head coach who took Liam Rosenior’s place, wants to evaluate the 23-year-old before making any decisions.

“Longman is one of the players likely to move on this summer after spending a good season on loan at Millwall,” the article stated.

Longman is believed to be eager to stay in South London, and Neil Harris wants to lure him back to the Den.

“Having said that, he will resume pre-season training at City along with everyone else, and you never know—Walter might spot a player he feels he can develop into something special and work with, even if it seems unlikely at this specific moment.”

At the close of the previous season, Harris lavished praise on Longman for his abilities and mentioned that the player was eager to stay after the season’s final match against Swansea.
