Leeds United’s slump in form has seen Daniel Farke’s side collect just seven points from the last 18 available, leaving the Whites 15th in the Championship form table.

The run has seen Leeds pick up two wins, a 2-0 victory on the road at Blackburn and the 4-0 dismantling of high-flying Ipswich, but a home draw with Coventry and three successive away defeats to Sunderland, Preston and West Brom has left the Elland Road outfit faltering in their pursuit of the top two.

Runaway leaders Leicester City lead the way in the form table, picking up 16 points from a possible 18, with a Boxing Day draw at Ipswich the only blemish on an otherwise perfect record.

Southampton sit second with 14 points from their previous six matches and are now unbeaten in their last 17 outings, since a 3-1 victory over Leeds at St Mary’s brought a four-game losing streak to an end. The run of form has seen Russell Martin’s Saints leapfrog Leeds into third position, currently sitting six points above the Whites.
