Justin Fields’ manager shares video of Bears quarterback celebrating amid rumors he could be traded to hometown Falcons

In a video posted by his management on social media, quarterback Justin Fields of the Chicago Bears looked to be joyfully rejoicing, even in the midst of rumors of a possible trade to his home team, the Atlanta Falcons.

In the video that manager Mario Nunez uploaded, Fields—whose future with the Bears is seriously in doubt this offseason—had a broad smile on his face while jumping, screaming, and clapping.

‘You ready to go home?’ seems to be said in the background, however it’s unclear exactly what the 24-year-old was getting so enthusiastic about.

While the Bears and many others in the NFL argue about whether Chicago should deal Fields and choose USC quarterback Caleb Williams or keep building around the former Ohio State Buckeye, Fields has been the focus of trade speculations.

Fields recently unfollowed the NFL and the Bears on Instagram, saying he didn’t want to see anything football-related on his feed amid the uncertainty surrounding his future.

In 13 games during the previous season, he ran 2,562 yards for 16 touchdowns and nine interceptions.

Many teams, most notably his hometown Falcons, have been linked to a trade for the 2021 No. 11 overall pick, including the Pittsburgh Steelers, Los Vegas Raiders, Seattle Seahawks, and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Atlanta is reportedly the team with the greatest interest in obtaining Fields, and the remark he made in the video about being eager to “go home” will only fuel rumors that Atlanta will be Fields’ starting quarterback the next season.

Atlanta has been favored by a number of bookmakers to sign Fields; some have even closed wagers on the player, which may indicate that the Bears have already decided what to do.

Despite missing four games due to injury last season, Fields finished with a 5-8 record, 2,562 yards, 16 touchdowns, and 9 interceptions.

On 124 run attempts, he also gained 657 yards and four touchdowns. Fields ran for 1,143 yards and eight touchdowns in 15 starts back in 2022.

Fields recently talked about the prospect of playing for his local team on a podcast.

Chicago is debating whether to trade Fields for USC quarterback Caleb Williams in the draft or keep him.

Last year, Fields gained over 1,000 yards and scored four touchdowns while rushing for 657 yards.

Fields has also been strongly linked to trades with the Steelers and Raiders.

Atlanta would be difficult, Fields remarked. “The only drawback to returning home is that everyone keeps ringing my phone wanting tickets to the game.”

However, I believe that they have a number of playmakers on the squad, including my kid Kyle Pitts, Bijan Robinson, and Drake London. Although they could use one more receiver, they have a solid group there, and this year’s defense was excellent as well.

Merril Hoge, an NFL Draft specialist, recently offered a critical evaluation of Williams and stated that the Bears would be wise to retain Fields.

D.J. Moore, the top wide receiver for the Bears, argued in favor of keeping Fields rather than starting a rookie quarterback.
