In 2024, the Atlanta Falcons hope to take a different turn. Raheem Morris was appointed head coach during the offseason to start this. Morris, though, is still aware of the issues that brought Atlanta to this position. To take things a step further, during the NFL Scouting Combine, he openly called the team out.

In the second quarter at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee, on Sunday, October 29, 2023, Tennessee Titans defensive end Denico Autry (96) and defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons (98) square up on Atlanta Falcons quarterback Desmond Ridder (9) for a sack.
Morris chastised this team’s previous quarterback performance this morning. It’s probably a jab at Taylor Heinicke as well as Desmond Ridder. Morris continued, saying that this is the rationale behind his employment as the Atlanta Falcons’ head coach at the moment.
The draft position of the Atlanta Falcons
There is a good chance that the 2024 NFL Draft class will be strong. At quarterback, there isn’t a scarcity of talent. Atlanta currently owns the ninth overall pick.
This might be high enough most years to target the quarterback position in the first round. The best prospects, meanwhile, will probably be taken by other teams by the time the Falcons get to select a quarterback because several teams ahead of them also need one. Talented prospects like Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, and Jayden Daniels are included in this.
If the Falcons are unable to trade up, what other options do they have to deal with this? Atlanta may choose to select Michigan Wolverines quarterback J.J. McCarthy or Oregon Ducks quarterback Bo Nix. Alternatively, they could decide to solve this in a later round and select a quarterback like South Carolina’s Spencer Rattler.
There appears to be one definite thing. It appears that Morris will take care of this in some way prior to the 2024 NFL season beginning.
