Bill Belichick will go into television once the Falcons cut him.

Following Falc, Bill Belichick will go into TV.Following the release of both parties to investigate available possibilities in the market, Arthur Blank and Belichick had a face-to-face meeting that gave rise to the widely held idea that the Falcons would finally select the coach who is regarded by many as the best of all time.

Everyone from NFL insiders to betting markets thought Belichick was headed to Atlanta until stories and murmurs of internal resistance arose, citing concerns about the potential impact on their careers should he be recruited.

When Raheem Morris was eventually brought on board, Blank refuted any reports of an internal conflict and Belichick’s ambition for authority. For the first time in almost fifty years, the all-time great coach will no longer be on the NFL sidelines.

Fortunately, Belichick won’t be missing the game since, according to his son Steve, he is exploring television positions, as reported by Khar Thompson and Christopher Price of The Boston Globe.

Similar to Nick Saban’s retirement, rival fan bases applauded Bill Belichick’s departure from the Patriots. But as the dust settled, it was obvious that Saban and Belichick would be missed in the NFL and college football worlds. With the two GOATs surrounding the game, both levels are infinitely better, so I’m happy that Saban and Belichick will be appearing on television this season.

While Saban’s is a permanent hiatus, Belichick’s is a temporary one. Belichick is expected to follow in the footsteps of Sean Payton, who left coaching for the 2022 season before joining the Broncos in 2023.

Belichick will have a decent opportunity to become a head coach once again and eclipse Don Shula’s record when positions with the Cowboys and Eagles possibly open in 2025, but it won’t be with the Falcons. When they go by him

With Raheem Morris leading the Falcons into a new era, some well-known players are still in the league and starting new chapters in their careers.

After spending the entire season in the CBS broadcast booth, Matt Ryan is going after the television aspect of the game. The former Falcons great has been there at every NFL event since the season concluded, and he already appears to be a natural in his new position.

However, Dan Quinn is still involved in the league’s competitive scene as the head coach of the Commanders, having been hired by new owner Josh Harris. It appears that the former head coach of the Falcons received a flurry of support, including one from Arthur Blank, the owner of Atlanta.

According to someone involved, “It was powerful to have Atlanta support Dan,” as reported by ESPN.

After leading the Falcons to an 8-8 record in his first season, Dan Quinn guided the team to an 11-5 record in his second, winning the NFC South and a pair of postseason titles en route to the Super Bowl.

Though it was a miserable ending, Ryan was named MVP and the offense set numerous records. It was a run of enchantment that came up short. After finishing 10-6 the next season, Atlanta was eliminated in the NFC division round.

The Falcons would not play in the playoffs again after that. After the team finished 7-9 in each of the following two seasons, Quinn was let go following a 0–5 start to the 2020 season.

Arthur Blank would not have gone out of his way to endorse Matt Ryan and Dan Quinn, thus it is obvious that the two men are still close.

During the hiring process, the young offensive core of the Falcons was one of the main selling points to potential head coaches.

Terry Fontenot selected talent players with his third straight top 10 pick and his second-round pick from the previous year. The general manager of the squad has done a good job of securing the offensive line and adding talented players to their periphery.

Kyle Pitts, Drake London, and Bijan Robinson are among the league’s most formidable young cores, according to Bleacher Report’s offensive building block rankings.

The Vikings, Eagles, Dolphins, and Lions were the four teams ranke5. Atlanta Falcons: Quarterback Desmond Ridder (24) is hardly guaranteed a long-term shot, so it’s hard to consider him much of a building block. Still, despite somewhat of a lack of delivery, the talent is absolutely there with Bijan Robinson (22), Kyle Pitts (23) and Drake London (22) at the skill positions. Throw in the potential with guard Matthew Bergeron (23), and this is a strong young foundation.d ahead of Atlanta, which isn’t too surprising.

Justin Jefferson is arguably the best receiver in football. Jordan Addison and Christian Darrisaw are also exciting young talents.

The Eagles could be higher in my estimation. Jalen Hurts, DeVonta Smith, D’Andre Swift, and Landon Dickerson are better than any young core outside of Detroit.

Bleacher Report is high on Miami, which I am not. Tua Tagovailoa, Jaylen Waddle, De’Vone Achane, and Austin Jackson are a great young core, but Philly’s is neck-and-neck with them.

The Lions have by far the most attractive young core of Penei Sewell, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Sam LaPorta, Jahmyr Gibbs and Jameson Williams.

The Falcons very well could find themselves higher on this list next year. If Kyle Pitts, Drake London, and Bijan Robinson explode under Zac Robinson, there won’t be many young cores that can compete. That doesn’t even mention Matthew Bergeron and someone like Malik Nabers or Rome Odunze, who the Falcons could take with their first-round pick.

The quarterback position for the Falcons will be the focus of their summer activities.

It’s clear. Since Matt Ryan was traded to the Colts, Atlanta has struggled to find consistency at the most crucial position in the game, if not all of sports.

How ought the Falcons to proceed? Give up a high pick in the draft to get a top prospect? Trade for an already-in-the-league skilled but underperforming signal caller? Recruit a seasoned free agent to go up against the best in 2024? How about going into the quarterback market twice?

Five Falcons supporters would most likely have five different responses to your question. If you ask ESPN, their audacious trade for Justin Fields in the summer wasn’t all that audacious.

Since many experts are “shipping” the Falcons and Fields together, this one seems a little clear. The same problems the Steelers are having with Pickett are also present in Atlanta with Desmond Ridder.

Although it was close, Fields’ QBR from previous season was higher than Ridder’s, 46.1 to 40.0. Although Fields still struggles with passing and takes too many sacks, he has upside that Ridder does not. You wonder what Fields could accomplish in an offensive scheme modeled after Sean McVay, and Zac Robinson is a young offensive coordinator who shows promise.

who

The Falcons will be keeping an eye out for a Justin Fields trade, though it may not be as likely as some fans think.

Zac Robinsons, the Falcons’ new offensive coordinator, is anticipated to use some kind of Sean McVay’s scheme, which has been executed most successfully by Matthew Stafford and Jared Goff.

Fields and the two pocket passers don’t have many similar characteristics. After stating that he doesn’t envision Terry Fontenot aiming for the 2021 first-round pick this offseason, Steve Wyche made this same observation.

“Zac Robinson, the Falcons’ new coordinator, is from Los Angeles. Justin Fields is not a good fit for that scheme, do Jared Goff and Matthew Stafford?Wyche said.

The Falcons will undoubtedly make inquiries and do out their due diligence over a deal involving Justin Fields, but if you’re a fan who is incredibly excited to witness a homecoming, I wouldn’t get too excited.
