Sam Johnstone, a former keeper for West Brom and Aston Villa, will miss Euro 2024 due to an elbow injury that required surgery.
The injury happened to the 31-year-old during England’s training session as the Three Lions got ready for their Wembley friendly against Belgium, which he was supposed to start.
Johnstone, who was almost guaranteed to make Gareth Southgate’s final squad for the summer tournament in Germany, has suffered a devastating blow.
