Ollie Watkins has scored 13 goals in his first 23 appearances of the season, but despite his stellar play, Villa is eager to give the Torquay-born striker some much-needed competition.

Oscar Gloukh, the young player for RB Salzburg, is believed to be one of the names at the top of Emery’s list. The Villa manager has taken an interest in the 19-year-old after he made a noteworthy breakthrough.

Israel’s Gloukh, who signed with Salzburg just a year ago, has already contributed seven assists and eight goals in 41 games across all competitions.
