COACH RENEE SLEGERS CONTRACT update with ARSENAL WOMEN

That’s great news for Arsenal Women! Renee Slegers has extended her contract with the club for another two years, as announced by her agency on Instagram.

Slegers, who briefly played in the Arsenal academy as a player, joined the club last summer after previously managing Rosengard. Her tenure with Rosengard saw them clinch back-to-back league titles before she departed in early 2023. Arsenal appointed her to their coaching staff following Lydia Bedford’s departure to Brentford’s U18s side.

In her role at Arsenal, Slegers focuses on individual player development and maintains close communication with the club analysts on matchdays, relaying messages between the analysts, head coach Jonas Eidevall, and fellow assistant coach Aaron D’Antino.

The renewal of Slegers’ contract comes after the departure of set-piece coach Patrick Winqvist earlier this week.
