Doctor: In the worst-case situation, a Rangers star may miss the remainder of the season.

There is a possibility of Rangers attacker Abdallah Sima not returning to action again this season, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The 22-year-old suffered a serious thigh injury on international duty with Senegal at the start of the year.

Philippe Clement stated that he will be out for a couple of months and it’s believed to be a Grade 4 muscle rupture.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:

He suffered a significant thigh injury while on international duty and that required surgery.

His day to day will be a gradual progression of strength, mobility, neuromuscular control on the injured area along with maintaining fitness in other parts as well, all while managing pain and discomfort.

“The best case sounds like he returns in April and out and the worst case is around three months out which rules him out for the rest of the season.

Sima’s absence is a big blow for Rangers

The 22-year-old was one of the few players who hit the ground running since he joined Rangers and Philippe Clement will have been looking forward to his return post January.

In 20 league games, the Senegal attacker has scored 10 goals and provided two assists – proving to be a reliable option down the left wing.

He’s also played a few games on the right flank and has continued to be a goal threat.

Rangers
Rangers have enjoyed good results at Ibrox this season.

The club will be hoping that he recovers quickly and that he can pick up right from he left off.

In other Rangers, a disgraceful video clip of Michael Beale at Sunderland shows why Gers are much better now.
