The Ecuador international arrived with a stellar reputation but has failed to hit the heights expected.
This doesn’t make him a bad footballer though because he is still getting into a packed midfield for his country.
Los Angeles to Glasgow is some jump.
But there is no point having a player with his reputation and calibre sitting in the stand and being fourth or fifth choice in the pecking order.
His stock is still high enough that a decent profit could be made and Alan Nixon of The Sun has also suggest that Rangers are looking to move him out via his Patreon page.
