Leeds player tweets following yesterday’s Rangers progress at Ibrox

Stuart Dallas, a standout for Leeds United, wrote a heartfelt tribute to the former Rangers great when Steven Davis announced his retirement.

The official Gers website (January 25) reports that the 39-year-old has called it quits on his career. He worked at Ibrox during two stints.

The former Northern Ireland captain also played for Fulham, Southampton, and Aston Villa in the Premier League.

Davis posted a lengthy note on Instagram stating, “I have decided to call time on my career after much deliberation and conversations with my close family, friends, and medical staff.”

Dallas, a fellow citizen, was among those who gave the athlete greetings. Dallas wrote: “Congratulations on an amazing career, captain, leader, and legend.” Without a doubt the greatest.

Davis has had the most capped British men’s football player in history. His career has been immensely successful. Dallas, a star player for Leeds, has played with the seasoned player multiple times during his more than 130 appearances for Northern Ireland.

Unfortunately, Davis had to make the decision due to an injury, as Dallas is currently out of commission due to a similar serious condition.

However, Dallas’s impending return to the team will instill confidence in Daniel Farke, which will be crucial for the Whites as they pursue a Premier League comeback.

The versatile player was a standout for Leeds before his injury, and Davis had a similar impact during his second spell at Rangers.

Davis might retire with a very high head after his stellar career filled with several trophies.

The Ibrox legend, who led the squad in the interim after Michael Beale was fired, made over 350 appearances for the team.
