During the January transfer window, Tony Mowbray made his first move when he signed André Dozzell from QPR on a season-long loan.

After replacing Wayne Rooney, the newly appointed manager of Birmingham City, who was successful right away, altered the club’s narrative. From his first three games, two victories and a draw have given the Blues supporters a huge boost.

The manager is pleasantly surprised with the scope of business, and more motivation may be added in the next days as Blues attempt to expand Mowbray’s possibilities.

“We’re enthusiastic about the hiring aspect. More than I thought,” Mowbray remarked. “We can rearrange a few things to make this and that happen, but we can’t spend millions.

“The group needs a little help in certain areas and, if we can improve that by adding a couple of players, whether it’s loan players or whatever, then that’s what we’ll try to do.”
