Journalist Alan Nixon claims that Bristol Rovers might find it difficult to match the personal terms that will be offered elsewhere in order to seek Jonson Clarke-Harris.
Despite starting for Peterborough United in their 2-2 draw with Barnsley on Friday, Clarke-Harris is anticipated to leave the club when the transfer window opens.
The striker scored both of his team’s goals in the League One match and is in high demand, with Bristol Rovers eager to sign him
Wrexham and Charlton Athletic, however, are now actively pursuing the striker, with the Welsh team aiming to make the best offer.
Furthermore, it’s possible that Bristol Rovers won’t be able to give Clarke-Harris the finest personal terms.
It remains to be seen if Clarke-Harris puts other considerations ahead of the amount of money being offered.
Wrexham is presently in third place in the League Two rankings and is aiming for a second straight promotion.
The Welsh team has only scored 48 goals, falling short of the division leaders Stockport County and Notts County, who have both scored 53.
But staying in League One would mean keeping Clarke-Harris with the Gas or Charlton.
