Thoughtful Rangers come up with a philanthropic solution for Ross County food waste

Fast-witted The Rangers have given leftover food from their postponed match against Ross County at Ibrox tonight to the Glasgow Simon Community Food Bank.Rangers and their catering partner Levy moved quickly to make sure the food brought in for tonight’s game does not go to waste and helps those in need because they were eager to see the provisions used effectively.

“While everyone at Rangers was obviously hoping for tonight’s match to go ahead, we were very keen to support Glasgow’s homeless community with a donation of some of the unused food from our sold-out hospitality suites and kiosks,” said James Bisgrove, CEO of the Rangers.

“As Rangers, we take great pride in our local roots, and we thought that this was the least we could do, especially this time of year. Levy, one of our partners, is greatly appreciated for their outstanding assistance in making this possible.

The Simon Community is a homeless charity that offers services in North Lanarkshire, Edinburgh, and Perth. Its volunteers are committed to spending time with people who are homeless.

When the game is rescheduled is unknown. Rangers now have two games remaining and are five points behind Celtic in the race for the championship.On Saturday, the 30th, the Old Firm team will play at Parkhead in what many are already predicting will be a crucial match in the Scottish Premiership title contest.
