It is not possible for Ross County to drive south due to conditions on the A9.
The weather has caused the Rangers Premiership match against Ross County to be postponed.
The Ibrox club declared that the decision to postpone the game was made because County was unable to go south due to the poor state of the roads.
Storm Gerrit’s snow, rain, and wind is causing catastrophic damage to the A9 and other key highways in Scotland.
“Rangers can confirm that this evening’s Scottish Premiership fixture with Ross County has been postponed,” stated a statement from the team.
“Although the Ibrox field is in excellent shape and prepared to host the game, inclement weather on the A9 has prevented our visitors from getting to Glasgow.”
Rangers still behind Celtic by five points going into Saturday’s Old Firm match, despite having two games in hand on their rivals due to the postponement.
A new date for the game will be announced by the SPFL when it is appropriate.
As of right now, Wednesday night’s Premiership games are scheduled to go place: Aberdeen vs Motherwell, Livingston vs St Johnstone at home, Hibernian vs Hearts in the Easter Road derby, and St Mirren vs Kilmarnock in Paisley.
