Forecasting 2023/24 Celtic results as the championship race intensifies

These last few weeks might not have gone the way Celtic fans would have liked, but 2023 overall has served the club very well.

Ange Postecoglou delivered one of the more entertaining Trebles in the club’s history and now attention will turn to 2024 where expectations are even higher on Celtic shores.

There isn’t another chance for another Treble, but Brendan Rodgers can help deliver the double this season.

Here at 67 Hail Hail, we will predict the finishes for 2024 and what could be in store for the Bhoys

Scottish Premiership title – FIRST PLACE

The team have seriously let things slip up of late and those back-to-back defeats to Kilmarnock and Hearts have proven to be costly.

But the fate is still in Celtic’s hands when it comes to winning the title.

Beat Rangers at Parkhead on December 30 and Brendan Rodgers will go into the New Year top of the table. We are backing the team to maintain that spot and prove to the world that the worst of this season is behind us.

Not forgetting that the January transfer window is expected to be busy and that could also provide a further boost to the team becoming champions of Scotland again.

Scottish Cup – WINNERS

Rodgers is a serial winner in Scotland and it won’t be too long before he is back on the horse again!

Buckie Thistle will travel to Parkhead on January 21 in what is expected to be a momentous occasion for the Highland League side. But Celtic will see that through and then start the ball rolling to assert dominance on the domestic stage again.

Celtic 2023/24 Top Scorer

As of this moment, it’s Matt O’Riley and Kyogo Furuhashi who are topping the goalscoring charts for Celtic with nine goals in all competitions.

Kyogo hasn’t been himself over the last month. But it won’t be too long before he is sticking his chest out and proving his worth again, especially after the recent goal against Livingston.

Class is always permanent and that’s the case with Kyogo, who just needs that spark again and then watch him fly.

The Japan star is a big-game player, as he proved at Ibrox earlier on in the season, and perhaps he needs that Rangers game to start to motor once more. And when he does, we at 67 Hail Hail are backing him to be the top scorer.
