Rangers injury updates as a doctor provides Danilo’s condition

We are pleased to have Dr. Rajpal Brar, a specialist on injuries, as our exclusive writer. He will provide his opinions on the Rangers’ injury status every week.

Dr Rajpal Brar has said that Rangers striker Danilo would be sidelined longer than anticipated after undergoing more testing.

At the time, Philippe Clement disclosed that he could need surgery and that it didn’t seem like he would miss the bulk of the season, but that information surfaced four days later.

According to the injury specialist, the Gers medical personnel should have waited to do more tests to determine the severity of the injury before determining its evolution.

Rangers injury updates as a doctor

Physical therapist and sports scientist Brar, who spoke exclusively to Ibrox News about his plight, stated:

It’s a nasty one that will keep him out for some time.

“The management first said that he was probably still being evaluated since it was unknown at the moment.

“After that, he would have had more testing to determine the full extent of the injury, which revealed it to be worse than first thought.

“It can take a few days to observe the progression of the injury and obtain a better understanding of it.”

The Brazilian has had rotten luck with injuries since his move to Ibrox in the summer.

He first suffered a facial injury that forced him to wear a mask while playing and now this ligament injury will keep him out until April.

The 24-year-old had become the first choice when fully fit and even managed to score four goals this season.

It remains to be seen if the club are successful in signing a replacement in January as there are options reportedly being considered.

Since arriving at Ibrox in the summer, the Brazilian has had terrible luck with injuries.

After sustaining a face injury that required him to wear a mask while playing, he will be out until April due to a ligament problem.

When healthy, the 24-year-old had established himself as the top option and had already scored four goals this year.

It is unclear whether the team will be able to sign a successor in January despite reports that other possibilities are being explored.
