The album also features a deeply personal song titled “Unsung Hero,” which Turner wrote as a tribute to his late grandfather, a World War II veteran. Turner recounts a poignant moment during a family gathering when he sought out his grandfather’s Purple Heart, only to find it misplaced. This incident inspired Turner to delve deeper into his grandfather’s history, leading to a song that honors the quiet strength and sacrifices of a man who never spoke of his wartime experiences.
Throughout his career, Turner has always paid homage to the legends who paved the way in country music. His new album continues this tradition, featuring snippets of classic songs by artists like John Anderson and Randy Travis. Moreover, the forthcoming music video for “Two Steppin’ on the Moon” is set to be a star-studded affair, with appearances by iconic country artists, further cementing Turner’s place in the pantheon of country music.
