Birmingham City are one of three EFL clubs chasing the Sevilla star’s signature.

One of the Blues’ transfer targets might be signed for nothing, along with two of their EFL rivals.

This summer, Birmingham City might be given the opportunity to sign one of their purported transfer targets for nothing.

Musa Drammeh has just under 64,000 fans on the Spanish football page Solofichajes123, which claims that Sevilla has not extended Musa Drammeh’s contract. This summer marks Drammeh’s two-year contract expiration, which will cause Blues and the other two English clubs to take notice.

It was rumoured that Sevilla had the option to sign Drammeh for an additional year, but if they choose not to exercise that option, it will open up the possibility of him signing for free with any of the three EFL teams.

It’s rumoured that since December, Birmingham and Sunderland have been interested in signing Drammeh. In January, Diario de Sevilla revealed that the Black Cats’ offer for Drammeh was rejected.Since then, Cardiff City has entered the race; Football Insider first revealed their interest in May.

This season, the 22-year-old attacker made a name for himself for Sevilla’s reserve squad, recording three assists and three goals in the Segunda Federacion – Grupo IV, the fourth division of Spanish football. Although his primary position is centre striker, he can also play on the right flank.

When Drammeh was said to be considering a move to St Andrew’s, Wayne Rooney was in charge, and Tony Mowbray’s appointment did not prompt a move. Chris Davies might be viewed as a low-risk signing given his availability, though it is unknown if he would be interested in exploring a move for the forward.
