West Brom Academy duo Ollie Bostock and Jamal Mohammed have signed professional contracts with the club, extending their stay at The Hawthorns until June 2026. This announcement was made via the club’s official website.
Bostock and Mohammed have impressed the academy staff, including Richard Stevens, Leigh Downing, and Richard Beale, earning their first professional contracts at the end of their scholarships.
West Brom Secures Promising Talents for the Future
The Baggies have a strong track record of developing young talent, with Bostock and Mohammed being the latest to sign professional contracts. Under the guidance of manager Carlos Corberan, West Brom has established a clear pathway from academy football to the first team, as demonstrated by players like Tom Fellows, Caleb Taylor, and Mo Faal.
Fellows has integrated well into the first team, making 10 starts and 15 substitute appearances in the Championship, scoring four goals and providing three assists. Taylor and Faal, currently on loan at Bolton Wanderers and Walsall respectively, are gaining valuable experience to aid their future contributions to West Brom.
Seventeen-year-old Bostock has been a regular in West Brom’s U21 team in Premier League 2 this season. Mohammed, however, faced a major setback with an ACL injury early in the campaign, making his journey more challenging.
Despite their different experiences this season, both Bostock and Mohammed have made significant progress and are considered promising talents for the future at The Hawthorns. With Corberan’s support, these academy graduates have excellent prospects for senior team minutes, especially as the season concludes and pre-season matches approach.
