Holger Rune: “I feel like I’m ready”
Holger Rune did not hesitate to offer his 2024 aspirations when asked.

You know, that’s one of my main objectives. I’ve been working toward it my entire life, so I’m excited to get there.
The Danish 20-year-old is making every effort to make that goal come true as well.
In the past, Becker helped Novak Djokovic win several Grand Slam championships, and Luthi had a lengthy relationship with Roger Federer, one of Rune’s childhood heroes.
Rune’s eagerness to learn from experienced peers has also been evident at this week’s Brisbane International, where he teamed with five-time Australian Open finalist Andy Murray in doubles.
It was world No.8 Rune who initiated the partnership with Murray, a player 16 years his senior.

“About a month ago, I asked him if he would be interested in playing doubles here in Brisbane to get some matches and prepare for the Australian Open.” Rune says, “He said yes, and it was enjoyable.
Rune enjoyed the experience even if they lost their first-round match in three sets.
He declared, “It was great.” “I thought we played some good doubles together, and it was good fun to share the court with him,” the disappointed player said.Throughout the week, Rune hoped to pick up tips and tricks from the two-time Olympic gold champion.
He remarked, “To be honest, we didn’t have much time for that. I wish we had more time.”
We might be able to talk a little bit more if we had won a few games. But that’s the reality.
With a three-set victory over world No. 45 Max Purcell in the opening round, Rune’s singles campaign got off to a more encouraging start.

“At first, it was challenging,I had to find my rhythm,” Rune said following his 4-6 6-4 6-2 triumph, his first win of the 2024 season.
“But I thought once I found it, especially on the serve, I managed to get a lot of free points. That helped me get into the match and I kept fighting to find solutions.”
