Last year’s game was a sellout, and with the Rams earning a well-deserved promotion back to the Championship last month, another full crowd is expected at Proctor Cars Stadium.

Derby won 2-0 in July, with goals from James Collins and Ben Radcliffe.

A Matlock spokeswoman said: “Once again, we’re thrilled to welcome Derby County to our stadium for what promises to be another fantastic night.

“We extend our heartfelt congratulations to everyone at Pride Park on their return to the Championship and wish them all the best for the next season. We know the Rams have a strong following in and around Matlock, with some Derby fans also coming here on a free Saturday, so we’re hoping for good weather and looking forward to seeing how Nicky Law’s team performs against a Championship club.

“A big thank you to everyone involved at Derby County for their help in organising this game.”

The bond between Matlock and Derby has been extended further, with the Rams under-21s agreeing to play their home games at the Proctor Cars Stadium for the next three seasons.

Tickets for the game will be available from 9 a.m. on Wednesday, by clicking HERE.

Adults pay £12, discounts (over 65 and students) pay £8, 11-18 year olds pay £4, and children under 10 are admitted for free.
