Three injury concerns have been identified by Steven Naismith for the Hearts’ upcoming Celtics match this weekend.

The Jambos travel to Parkhead on Saturday to play the league leaders, but they may be without several important players who have been recovering from injuries this week.Due to a hamstring injury, Liam Boyce has missed recent games and is only marginally likely to play, while Nat Atkinson is another player who hasn’t returned to full training due to illness.

Additionally, Calem Nieuwenhof completes the trio that may be benched, leaving Naismith to make a few personnel decisions. “Natty has been ill so he is still not back in full training,” he said to the Evening News. We received a few blows when certain players weren’t present on the [training] field at the beginning of the week. Hopefully, none of them are real.

We are having Calem Nieuwenhof’s hand examined because he is having trouble with it. It’s still swollen from the weekend and hasn’t gotten much better. Since it’s a hand injury, we just need to follow the advice provided. He can still run around, but we’ll have to wait and see if it’s okay for him to get involved or if he needs a break.

“Boycie is returning to the field and is improving. He passes one level because of a hamstring injury, but when it comes to the next, you have to push him to the brink to see if he can make it. He has a chance, but I wouldn’t say I’m 100% sure he’ll be involved this weekend.”
