Former Bradford City, Leicester City and Reading defender made a free agent as contract decision confirmed

Liam Moore, a seasoned player, has an extensive career in English football. He began in the Premier League with Leicester City, later featuring for Championship clubs like Reading and Stoke City. During the 2011/12 season, he spent time on loan at Bradford from Leicester, making 22 appearances under Peter Jackson and Phil Parkinson.

After a short-term stint at Northampton Town, where he played eight League One matches, Moore won’t be staying for the next season. The Cobblers also released Peter Abimbola, Dominic Gape, Ryan Haynes, and Danny Hylton. Manager Jon Brady expressed gratitude to the departing players and emphasized the club’s focus on recruiting new talent for continued progress.

Now available as a free agent at 31, Moore could attract interest from EFL clubs seeking experienced additions. In addition to his domestic experience, Moore has earned senior caps for Jamaica after switching from England in 2021.
