This week, the Light Blues and their La Liga rivals complete a circle as they prepare to conclude Group C under dramatic circumstances.

In September, the group’s first matchup pitted Rangers against Real Betis, and former manager Michael Beale took a chance on the competition. That day, Abdallah Sima emerged victorious, his goal in the second half enough to seal an incredible 1-0 triumph.

After that, Beale and the Rangers’ season in the Europa League took a turn for the worse. In their two losses to the bottom-seeded UEFA team in the group, Aris Limassol, the Englishman lost his job.

After earning one point out of a possible six against the Cypriots, Rangers will now play a decider against Betis in a few days to determine who will finish first in the standings.

William Carvalho is returning to take on the Rangers.

Rangers believed that in order to avoid playing the seasoned Portuguese central midfielder William Carvalho, they would need to accomplish that. However, a report now says otherwise.

Carvalho has declared he has miraculously recovered from a serious hamstring injury he suffered earlier in the season, according to freelance journalist Mark Walker.

Carvalho was originally scheduled to miss out until after the new year, but he has surprised both Real Betis and Rangers by being expected to play against Philippe Clement’s team in Seville. Carvalho won the Euro 2016 tournament.

Before Real Betis’ matchup with Rangers, not everything is well.

Although Carvalho made a stunning statement, Real Betis still have a lot of injury issues that they could have avoided before playing Rangers.

Rangers should feel encouraged by the news that Betis will be without five of their main players, as we revealed on Monday.

The following players are expected to miss the Europa League match due to suspension: Argentine World Cup winner Guido Rodriguez, Senegalese right-back Youssouf Sabaly, Spanish center-back Marc Bartra, 2018 French World Cup winner Nabil Fekir, and Chilean goalkeeper Claudio Bravo.

Though, on the other hand, Clement will be happy to hear this, things are balanced on both sides because he has his own share of Rangers injuries to deal with.
