West Ham look at another new manager, he has watched game at London Stadium already – report

After seeing a game at the London Stadium, West Ham United is thinking about appointing Hansi Flick as their new manager, as reported by Daily Mirror.

West Ham news: East London switch appeals to highly-rated manager

The former Germany and Bayern Munich manager was at a game earlier in the season, according to a report in the newspaper’s print edition (April 29, p. 49), and he might take David Moyes’ job.

Flick hasn’t had a job since being fired by the German national team in 2023, so if Moyes leaves at the end of this season, it would be a major coup for West Ham.

Big name sought by West Ham United to succeed David Moyes

Although they haven’t confirmed if David Moyes is truly leaving the team, West Ham is setting high expectations for their new manager.

Nonetheless, it appears that West Ham is actively pursuing players like Paulo Fonseca, Ruben Amorim, and Flick, indicating that a breakup with Moyes after five seasons is unavoidable.

On April 27, Moyes’ team ended a two-game losing streak at the London Stadium by holding title-chasing Liverpool to a 2-2 draw. This demonstrated that the Hammers’ team isn’t giving up on the Scotsman or their quest to finish in the European spots.

With three games remaining in the Premier League season, the Irons are still in eighth place, five points behind Manchester United in sixth place, despite the fact that most of the teams in their immediate vicinity have games in hand.

Securing a spot in Europe for the fourth straight season will undoubtedly stand West Ham in good stead if they hope to sign a big name like Flick this summer. It would also be the best possible farewell gift that Moyes could leave at the London Stadium.
