Paul Warne has guided The Rams back to the Championship as they secure promotion.
Max Bird’s sensational goal in the sixth minute gave The Rams the perfect start, as Paul Warne’s team only needed a draw to secure second place, behind champions Portsmouth.
The game served as a memorable farewell for Bird, who will be joining Bristol City in the summer after spending his formative years at Derby since the age of 10. Despite Carlisle presenting some challenges, Collins’ volley from Sonny Bradley’s assist in the second half sent Derby fans into raptures.
The atmosphere at Pride Park was electric as the final whistle blew, with supporters flooding onto the pitch to celebrate their first promotion since Billy Davies led the Rams to the Premier League in 2007.
Here are a few photos from the game against Carlisle United, and the celebrations that followed afterwards.
