HIGHLIGHTS

  •  Keifer Moore remains coy on permanent move to Ipswich Town, stating “I’ve still got a year left at Bournemouth, so we’ll see what happens in the summer.”
  •  Moore emphasises the importance of consistency for Ipswich Town in their promotion quest: “Just stick to what you’ve been doing all season – it has clearly worked.”
  •  Moore should carefully weigh up his future this summer, with multiple options potentially set to be on the table.

In an interview with TWTD, Kieffer Moore hesitantly disclosed whether he would be interested in relocating permanently to Suffolk Town.

Due to their current promotion competition, the Tractor Boys have recently been connected to some extremely talented players.

Their recruitment team will probably be getting ready for life in the Championship as well as for the Premier League, since promotion is still a possibility even if they don’t place in the top two.

One player who might be a good addition for both divisions is Moore, who might be able to secure a permanent departure this summer after Andoni Iraolo judged him temporarily surplus to requirements during the January transfer window.

Due to Dominic Solanke’s continued success on the south coast, he has frequently been forced to sit on the bench at his current team, AFC Bournemouth, after being such an important asset for his previous club, Cardiff City.

Moore might gain from a long-term relocation out of Vitality Stadium if Solanke stays put past the end of the summer or if a replacement is found for him.

When asked about a possible long-term move to Portman Road, Moore, however, played it cool, responding, “I’ve still got a year left at Bournemouth, so we’ll see what happens in the summer.”

Moore on Ipswich Town’s promotion quest: “Just stick to what you’ve been doing all season”

It would be easy for Ipswich to try and be clever and change things to make themselves unpredictable.

But Moore has urged his team to stay the same, telling TWTD: “I get the lads talking to me all the time about what it was like winning promotion to the Premier League.

There is plenty of interest in Johnson – and those interested sides have received a boost in their quest to sign him.

“The best advice I can give them is not to overcomplicate the situation.

“We’ve got to this point in the season, where we’ve done certain things, and to change anything now would be stupid. Just stick to what you’ve been doing all season – it has clearly worked – and just think of the bigger picture.

“Just solely focus on the task ahead.”

Kieran McKenna - Ipswich vs Watford

Moore arguably needs to be starting regularly to give himself the best chance of thriving at both a club and international level.

He probably isn’t going to win that game time with his parent club and this is why he needs to consider a permanent exit to another team this summer.

Portman Road could be an ideal destination for him, because he may back himself to start ahead of George Hirst and could potentially start ahead of Ali Al-Hamadi regularly if he performs well enough.

However, a big reason why Ipswich are thriving is because of their head coach Kieran McKenna, and it’s unclear how much longer he will be at Portman Road for, so moving to Ipswich may not be a no-brainer.

Plenty of teams are likely to be interested in Moore this summer though – and the striker has a big decision to make on his future if he’s allowed to leave.
