Rangers could be about to free up over £9.5m in wages if latest Ibrox exit links realised

Rangers appear poised for another significant overhaul in the summer transfer window, potentially leading to a significant reduction in the club’s wage bill.

The team’s performance in the 2023/2024 season faced challenges, particularly when Michael Beale orchestrated a substantial squad overhaul, reminiscent of the changes seen during Steven Gerrard’s tenure.

However, this transformative shift was only partially completed, with several prominent players and high earners remaining or nearing the end of their contracts at Rangers.

As many as eight of the club’s most senior and experienced players could depart in the upcoming summer, resulting in a substantial reduction in the club’s wage budget.

While there is ongoing speculation regarding the future of these players, preliminary calculations suggest that Rangers could save over £9.5 million annually if these individuals move on.
